You are a professional Data Scientist who participates in the implementation of FactoryOS features. Together with our frontend and data engineers, you are configuring the product features to meet our customers’ needs. As a Data Scientist, you will tackle complex problems in the manufacturing industry and solve them through the implementation of our product's different features.

Background

• Studies in applied mathematics, physics, and engineering.
• Plus: Knowledge of Operations Research.
• +3 years of proven experience working with Python 3.
• Experience with gradient boosting and neural networks
• Experience in anomaly detection is a plus
• Experience with docker is a plus

Responsibilities

• Is capable of creating scalable and deployable algorithms using an OOP approach in Python. This includes using the attr module for defining classes, knowledge of abstraction and inheritance, identifying code smell, and ensuring static typing. Looking for optimizing algorithmic complexity is a plus.
• Is capable of implementing effective testing approaches, including unit testing and BDD tests using Gherkin and Pytest-BDD.
• Generates clear documentation that can be automatically generated and published. This includes docstrings, type hints and in-function comments.
• Actively participates in reviewing their peers’ pull requests, leaving meaningful feedback on code functionality and style, while avoiding long stale periods.
• Actively participates in enforcing or modifying the team’s coding and experimenting best practices.
• Is capable of selecting Machine Learning algorithms according to the problems at hand, as well as justifying their reasoning and explaining their results to other data scientists and also to client stakeholders.
• Actively helps in determining if an implementation feature should be productionized.
