The Job
You are a professional Data Scientist who participates in the implementation of ValueChainOS Scheduling features. Together with our front-end engineers, you are configuring the product features to meet our customers’ needs. As a Data Scientist, you will tackle complex problems in the manufacturing industry and solve them through the deployment of our product's different features.
Your job includes:
- Research and deploy optimization algorithms to solve problems in manufacturing.
- Design and develop new algorithms to work as pre-process, constraint or post-process to the scheduling algorithms.
- Be able to work with extensive databases to process them.
- Design, develop, and test data processing pipelines.
Background
- Studies in computer science/engineering and applied mathematics/physics.
- +2 years of professional experience working with Python.
- +2 years of professional experience with software design patterns.
- Studies and experience on scheduling algorithms.
- Extensive knowledge researching and applying mathematical modeling.
- Experience using GitHub: Pull requests, merges, and versioning.
- Bonus: Knowledge of Operations Research.

Responsibilities
- Implement the product's features, constraints and automatization pipelines.
- Develop features and constraints when required for the ongoing implementation.
- Assisting in the collection and documentation of user’s requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.
- Design and develop following the established CI/CD standards.
- Support in the development of user’s manual for the implementation.
- Execute functionality tests for the developed code.
